Order Tracker Setup Guide

Fresh KDS Order Tracker is a companion app to Fresh KDS that enables you to turn any TV or monitor into a customer-facing order status screen. As orders are cleared from the KDS screen the name/ticket number will update on the Order Tracker screen, letting customers know when their order is ready.

NOTE: This feature is only available to users on the "Advanced" pricing tier. Users on the "Basic" tier will not be able to activate this feature without first upgrading to a higher tier.

Fresh KDS Order Tracker

Requirements

  • Amazon Fire TV
  • TV or monitor with hdmi input
  • Strong and stable WiFi connection.

Note: This guide assumes that you are already using Fresh KDS. If not, you will need to first setup the Fresh KDS app with your POS system. Select "Getting Started" from the right menu and select the guide that applies to your POS.

Step 1: Setup Amazon Fire TV

Step 2: Setup The Order Tracker App

  1. Ensure that the Fire TV is on the same WiFi network as your Fresh KDS device.
  2. Download the Fresh KDS Order Tracker app in the Fire TV Store.
  3. Open the Order Tracker app.
  4. From the Menu select Horizontal or Vertical orientation.

Step 3: Configure Order Tracker with Fresh KDS

  1. Ensure that the Fire TV is on the same WiFi network as your Fresh KDS device.
  2. In the Fresh KDS app open Settings > Order Tracker.
  3. Select Display Preparing Orders if you want orders from the current KDS screen to display on the Order Tracker as "Preparing".
    (As an order is sent to the KDS screen it will also appear on the Order Tracker in the "Preparing" column).
  4. Select Display Ready Orders if you want orders from the current KDS screen to display on the Order Tracker as "Ready".
    (As an order is cleared from the KDS screen it will appear on the Order Tracker in the "Ready" column).
  5. Select the Order Types you would like to be sent to the Order Tracker.
  6. Set the amount of time you would like "Ready" orders to display on the Order Tracker.
  7. Now you are setup! Try sending some test orders from your POS to ensure everything is working properly.

    Note: These settings only apply to the CURRENT KDS SCREEN. If you would like for other KDS screens to communicate with the Order Tracker you will need to setup the feature on your other screen(s), too.
